Spring 2027 Assessment Prep Session (Group A) – ONLINE
Supplementary half day APC assessment preparation session – presentations and answering sample interview questions.
Session objectives:
- Be comfortable that your presentation is of an acceptable quality
- Understand the correct answering technique for questions based on two of your own Summary of Experience examples
- Learn from others on best practice for the delivery of the presentation and answering questions
- Ensure your revision remains focussed and committed during the extended period leading up to your assessment.
Session contents:
- Introduction
- Recap on the requirements of the RICS APC assessment presentation
- Practice your presentation in front of an experienced APC panelist
- Receive feedback on the content, style and delivery of your presentation
- Break
- APC Assessment question & answer techniques – theory and practice
- Fifteen minutes each delegate: questions on two specific pre selected competencies from your own Summary of Experience and personalised feedback

Moving into the final year preparation course (half day)
This interactive course of around 12 delegates helps candidates to ensure that they are on track to complete their APC by assisting them to understand what the APC requires them to do and how best to structure and capture their experience so that assessors can be convinced of their professional competency. The course provides:
- A helpful analysis of each candidate’s current APC position and generating a personal APC activities timeline for the next 12 months
- An understanding of the APC Paperwork and highlighting the things that candidates should be thinking about/doing now regarding:
- Diary and time recording
- Undertaking and recording their CPD
- Advice about competency selection and progress
- Advice about how best to demonstrate Mandatory and Technical competencies
- Case Study selection criteria based on what assessors are looking for
- A topical issues update and advice on keeping up-to-date on relevant news
